One of my favorite memories of my mom as a child take me back to a cozy cottage my mother’s family had on a small island in Connecticut where they used to go every summer. I cherish the pictures taken of her as a young girl about the age of 6 during those lazy days of their vaction. She was a girlie girl and always had her baby dolls dressed in pretty white dresses placed side by side in their stroller. I can only imagine the sweet stories she would tell her “babies”. The photos of that summer house embodies what you would envision of a vacation cottage nestled in trees with a white picket fence all around the front yard and lots of beautiful summer flowers lining the porch and out into the yard.
